December One Card Draw

Oops! My life got so busy, November came and went! Sorry about that! This month, I'm going to get it in before things get even crazier! The December One Card Draw is now OPENCLOSED! Thank you for your support! LJ user jake67jake has won a free Wings reading!

As usual, I will be open for roughly 24 hours, so that all time zones have a chance. :)

Comment and I will pull a card for you from my original, unique bird oracle deck. Anyone and everyone is welcome! If you are facing a choice, the cards may help point in the most positive direction for you. You may request an overall card to meditate upon. You might want a card to let you know what new thing may come into your life in the near future, or what is the most important thing facing you at this time. You may ask a specific question and we will see how the universal subconscious will answer it for you. However you use this opportunity, I hope it will be helpful!

A quick note: The more detail you give in your request, the better I can interpret the card's meaning for you, which is my role as intermediary, however, even just a general request will get my best effort; it's up to you.

For privacy, you may post anonymously; sponsors may choose to get their reading via private message.

Today, I'm working for tips; please support my work if you can! All sponsors may request a second card! (This may be a new question or more detail on the original question, whatever you prefer, just let me know!)
If total tips exceed $15, I will select from all sponsors to receive a free Wings reading. At $25, a random sponsor will receive a Simple Nest reading. At $50, everyone gets into the running to win a Wings read, and at $75, everyone gets a chance at a Simple Nest. Thank you for your support!
Can't afford to tip? Spread the word! Post a link to my draw in at least two different places and you can request a second card! Thank you!

Update: We've made our first perk, and with only 2 donations, so your odds of winning a read are very high! Just ten dollars to the next level!
Final Update: We topped out and I flipped a coin. Jake, contact me and let me know what you'd like your Wings reading on! Congratulations!

As always, please see the disclaimer on my profile page. Also, remember that you can purchase a read at any time from that same profile page or from my website!

I would love a card. Biggest thing on my mind is finances (as always), but specifically job-hunting for self & hubby and when we can feasibly change our living situation for the better.

Pimping here and on FB. :)

With regard to finances and job hunting, Lorikeet advises you to get out and be an active part of the world. Show off your agility and your energy, and make lots of light connections; hopefully, one of them will lead to something. (I think you've gotten this card before!)

With regard to when you can change your living situation, Bluebird suggests it will probably be a long time; the possibility will be what you will have to live on, I'm afraid. Bluebird also reiterates the need to be light and social/extroverted.

Wow... This is kind of a mixed bag. I'd love to find something through a connection instead of what's been placed in front of me. I've been considering something along this vein for a while but have been afraid to pursue it because I'm out of practice. (Tarot)

For the living situation, how long is long? The living situation is untenable at best and downright hostile on bad days. (You've heard my stories about She Who Bore Me? She figures prominently in the current situation.)

As always, thanks for your insight, darlin'. It's helpful. Now, if I can just figure out what all these hawks are trying to tell me... they've been quite prominent this past week - especially osprey.

Osprey is a noble bird, able to attract prey by sheer charisma, but with a high code of honor. Respect others as you respect yourself (and vice versa), even those one clashes with, showing respect via restraint. This bird sees through rationalizing/self-deception as well as other illusions. It is linked to being drawn to water as well as the sun, the harmony of sun and water.

It looks like you are stuck for a while and need to try to make the best of it while you continue to make connections in the rest of world to help you find work. Wish I had better news!

I would love a card for general advice, please!

Mockingbird warns that you may be tested by a blinding distraction. If you stay calm and remember to use all of your senses, you will do well. Mockingbird highlights the magic of synthesizing disparate things to produce a unique whole. Finally, remember that actions speak louder than words.

Ooh! Nifty one!

Last month's card was so helpful thanks for doing this.

Today I would like a card for meditation.
Dec. 7th, 2012 05:33 pm (UTC)
I am so glad to hear that! Thank you!

For meditation, I drew Bluejay. This bird is the cheerful, flexible opportunist, the scapegrace or rogue. Bluejay works well both alone and with others, is sometimes an unconscious/accidental bully, a shameless thief (because the only ownership concept it recognizes is territory), likes bright and pretty things, and is confident and fearless with a great sense of humor.

Still on graveyards... so just seeing this!

A card please... for "just 'cause" (Not to be confused with Just Cause, capitals included).

Sorry, sleep deprived and a little (? LOT!) loopy.

*hugs* I'm getting pretty sleepy here myself! One "just 'cause" card coming up!
I drew the Frigate Bird, in many ways, the ultimate bird of the air; with the largest wingspan to body weight ratio of any bird, they can literally remain in the air for over a week at a time. These birds teach about mystery, especially the mystery of lifestyles dramatically and intriguingly different than our own, sometimes misunderstood but always fascinating. This bird is also associated with the Easter Islands.

Hmmmmmmm.... have NO idea what that is trying to tell me... will assume the "wait and see" attitude until it reveals itself...

*note to self* Remember to give feedback to Wren... LOL

PS... sent you a small donation.

I asked what your Frigate Bird meant and got Titmouse, which is the bird of strength. So maybe the Frigate Bird's qualities will give you strength, or are a strength for you. :)

Awww. Thanks! *hugs* You have already donated enough, but I'll take it; the draws have been mighty lean lately. *more hugs*

I know.. and like I said it's not much.

hmmmmmm... Titmouse... that would be an appropriate description for me... lmao... I'm sure my wife would agree!! *eg*

God, I hope there isn't something ELSE that is gonna happen that I need to be strong for... it's been a rough 2012, particularly the 2nd half of it.

Or maybe it's just giving me the strength to finish this damn scanning job and get home to the above referenced wife... I *hate* being away from her (much the same you feel about Tom being gone). AAAANNNNDDDD, we are going different directions for Christmas too (her to her mother's, me to mine), so was already dreading December!

Le sigh. Have a great weekend!
Dec. 8th, 2012 03:38 pm (UTC)
*laugh* I knew you'd say something like that! *grin*

I think it's more that you'll use your own curiosity about different cultures/beliefs as a strength. *hug* What a rough December!

I'll hope for an awesome January for you!
